Apple Cider Gluten Free Play Dough

My kids love getting creative with play dough. But play dough that smells like fall? That’s a sensory experience that can’t be beat.

And how about a gluten free play dough?

When we first learned that we had to be gluten free in our house, saying goodbye to the crispy bread with the soft inside was a given. Limited menus and desserts, a way of life.

But I didn’t realize just how many other things contain gluten.

Including traditional play dough.

Devastation ensued one day as we walked into Sunday School and my children realized they couldn’t participate in the craft because of the gluten in the play dough. It wasn’t worth being “glutened” for a few minutes of play time.

Had I known ahead of time, I could easily have made this recipe.

Yep, this recipe for apple cider gluten free play dough meets all of my mom requirements for sensory, exploratory fun.

If you’ve never made your own play dough, no worries. It’s about the easiest thing you could cook on the stove, and you probably have all of the ingredients on hand already. If you don’t, I’ve included affiliate links from Amazon in the ingredient list.
