Easy Pulled Pork Recipe for the Slow Cooker

What You Need to Make Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Ingredients:

1 Pork Shoulder Roast, approximately 3 lbs

1 Onion, large, sliced with the grain

½ C Water

What You Do to Make Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Directions: 1. Wash and pat dry roast

2. Season the roast with seasoned salt, garlic powder and pepper 3. Let roast marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. After marinating, place the roast in a fry pan and sear the roast on both sides until it browns nicely. Set aside. 4. Slice the onion and place all onion rings at the bottom of the slow cooker and season with rosemary 5. Place the roast on top of the onions 6. Add water and soy sauce 7. Put the lid on and let cook for approximately 6 hours

Pulled Pork in the Slow Cooker

8. When pork is done, gingerly pull it out from the slow cooker and set aside. With two forks, begin to pull apart the meat strands of the roast. 9. Strain the onions from the juice at the bottom of the roast. After roast is pulled, sprinkle the juices over the pulled pork for extra juiciness.

You can eat pulled pork as is over potatoes, make pulled pork tacos, add your favorite barbecue sauce, pulled pork quesadillas, fajitas, there are so many possibilities.
