Get Your Ears On: A Mickey and Minnie Celebration
Did you know that everyone’s favorite couple, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, is celebrating their 90th anniversary?
That’s pretty impressive for a celebrity couple! The Get Your Ears On Celebration is Disneyland’s way of celebrating Mickey and Minnie’s accomplishments over the last 90 years, offering new food items, merchandise and experiences at the Disneyland Resort in honor of Disneyland’s most famous couple.
Get Your Ears On Dates
The Get Your Ears On Celebration began in January. Currently, there is no set end date.
However, this spring is the perfect time to celebrate a number of Disneyland events, including Get Your Ears On. With some of the lowest prices ever, Get Away Today is offering Spring Savings for travel between now and May 23, 2019. Get Your Ears On Attractions
The two Disneyland events that commemorate Get Your Ears On: A Mickey and Minnie Celebration are Mickey’s Mix Magic and Mickey’s Soundsational Parade.
Mickey’s Mix Magic began in January and is an all ages light show. Hosted in the evenings, Mickey’s Mix Magic will incorporate classic songs into the dazzling light display, with a family-friendly dance party.
Mickey’s Soundsational Parade is back for Get Your Ears On, and is held during the day. This parade gives Disneyland guests a chance to see some of their favorite characters parade down Main Street, USA. Starting at “it’s a small world,” the Soundsational Parade will feature new floats and some musical favorites.
Get Your Ears On Food
It is expected that there will be 100 new menu items at Disneyland to celebrate the Get Your Ears On Celebration! That’s a lot of Mickey and Minnie inspired goodies!
The chocolate flavored Mickey Mouse Celebration churro is sure to delight with its cookie butter drizzle and Mickey-shaped sprinkles.
Another favorite at this Disneyland event is the “Share Your Ears” cheeseburger. Available at Smoke Jumper’s Grill, this cheeseburger features two mini slider burgers perched as ears atop a regular cheeseburger. This is a great choice for sharing a meal at Disneyland.
And quite possibly the most popular dessert during the Get Your Ears On Celebration is the Kitchen Sink Sundae! Officially known as the Birthday Sundae at the Gibson Girl Ice (affiliate link) Cream Parlor on Main Street, this massive ice (affiliate link) cream dessert includes numerous toppings, served in an adorable Mickey themed SINK! The Mickey sink makes for a perfect collectible if, that is, you’re able to finish the huge sundae.
There will also be new Mickey and Minnie popcorn buckets and a new Celebration sipper available for purchase.
Get Your Ears On Merchandise
In addition to all the collectibles the new Get Your Ears On food may be served in, there will be other new and exclusive merchandise options at the Resort for this Disneyland event.
In Downtown Disney, Pandora is offering a new, limited time charm, while Dooney and Burke will have special bags to celebrate the Get Your Ears On event.
Also in Downtown Disney, the Disneyland Dress Shop will feature a Mickey Through the Years dress to commemorate this Disneyland event.
