5 BEST Disney World Apps
1.My Disney Experience
Disney's official app for visiting the parks, you can book dining reservations, book FastPass+ times for your favorite rides and attractions, and check where Disney characters will be in the parks and at what times.
This app is great for allowing you to do vacation planning on the go – and change or make plans directly with Disney without having to call them. However, it doesn't have wait times, menus for the restaurants, or pricing information so that information needs to be gathered from other apps or online.
2. Dining for Disney World
The only up-to-date app that I could find that lists not only all Walt Disney World restaurants and snack carts, but it also has the full menus and prices, so you can determine if a restaurant fits your family's tastes and budget before booking a reservation or walking over.
However, if it's restaurant that requires reservations, you will still need to use the My Disney Experience app to book that reservation on the go!
3. Wait Times for Disney World
If you've never been to the parks, let me tell you – it's a lot of walking. When you're dealing with little legs, strollers, big crowds, and heat – you want to know that if you trek to the opposite side of the park for a ride, that you're not going to be greeted with an hour-long wait time.
I've always been impressed with the accuracy of this app – it's updated every few minutes which is helpful because all it takes is a parade to end or rain to start and the wait times will jump! I even noticed that sometimes the posted wait times at the rides were shorter than what the app was saying, but then when we actually waited for the ride it turned out the app (and not Disney World's own counter) was more accurate!
4. Disney World Touring Plans by UnderCover Tourist
While this app has a wait times feature, our #3 choice was more accurate in instances where the posted wait time differed from the actual wait.
However, this app is super cool for helping you plan your day and giving you special scoops about WDW that you may not have picked up in your own planning.
5. Where In WDW?
This is a fun photo scavenger app that also helps you find hard-to-track-down items, making it serve two purposes in one! This one is fun both in the parks and long after you've left.
There are also plenty of apps to keep you entertained and busy while waiting in lines – like the Hidden Mickey's app – or download a walking tour of any part of the parks to give you some behind-the-scenes info, like with this Main Street USA tour.
