1. What’s the best Walt Disney World App? My Disney Experience – The Official Walt Disney World App

This Disney World app is great for allowing you to do vacation planning on the go – and change or make plans directly with Disney without having to call them. Since it was first released, My Disney Experience has improved a lot.

If you download no other app, it needs to be the My Disney Experience app. Through the official Walt Disney World app for visiting the parks, you can book dining reservations, book FastPass+ times for your favorite attractions, use Mobile Ordering so you don’t have to wait in line, purchase tickets and passes, find your PhotoPass Photos, check where Disney characters will be in the parks and at what times, see wait times for rides, and so much more.

Click to DOWNLOAD the My Disney Experience App.

2. Play Disney Parks

We love using the Play Disney Parks app both in the Parks and at home. It’s a great way to turn wait time into play time with interactive in-park adventures, attraction-themed fun, and learn Disney trivia!

Players can unlock achievements by visiting attractions and playing the games that are based on the area guests are located. Do make sure Bluetooth is enabled to unlock the extras and play.

Not at the Parks? No problem! There are games that can be played even without being in the Parks. A favorite is the games in Toy Story Mania!

3. Dining for Disney World

The only up-to-date app that I could find that lists over 300 Walt Disney World restaurants, snack carts and food stands. It also has the full menus and prices covering Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and all Disney World Resorts, which allows you to determine if a restaurant fits your family’s tastes and budget before booking a reservation or walking over.

I love that it also includes discount information for Disney Dining Plan, Tables in Wonderland, Disney Vacation Club, and Annual Pass Holders. This is important because it’s not the same at every restaurant. For example, you can use the DVC and Annual Passholder discount at The Plaza Restaurant in Disney’s Magic Kingdom, but not at ABC Commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Dining for Disney World app is great for groups because it allows you to organize a dining schedule with your reservations or plans and email your dining schedule to others.

Walking through the Park and want a turkey leg? Just open the app and search turkey leg for the closest location!

Note that you can not make reservations for restaurants in this app. It is purely for research purposes. To make reservations, click over to the My Disney Experience app.

4. Best Disney World App for Wait Times

If you’ve never been to the Parks, let me tell you – it’s a lot of walking. When you’re dealing with little legs, strollers, big crowds, and heat, you want to have a plan. No one likes it when they make the trek to the opposite side of the park for a ride and are met with an hour-long wait time.

I’ve always been impressed with the accuracy of Wait Times for Disney World. It’s updated every few minutes which is helpful because all it takes is a parade to end or rain to start and the wait times will jump! I even noticed that sometimes the posted wait times at the rides were shorter than what the app was saying, but then when we actually waited for the ride it turned out the app was more accurate!

5. Disney World Maps and Wait Times by Undercover Tourist

Need help planning your day? Disney World Maps & Wait Times – UndercoverTourist.com gives you special insight about WDW that you may not have picked up in your own planning.

My favorite part of the 365- Day Crowd Calendar which allows you to see the best days to visit specific Disney Parks.

Disney World Lines (TP) – TouringPlans.com is another app that several friends love to use to help them plan their Walt Disney World vacation. LINES will help you save time and money during your Walt Disney World trip. This app will help you figure out where to go and what to do during your Disney vacation.

Other Walt Disney World Resources Worth Mentioning

There are also plenty of Walt Disney World apps to keep you entertained and busy while waiting in lines – like the Hidden Mickeys: Disney World – or download a walking tour of any part of the parks to give you some behind-the-scenes info, like with this Main Street USA tour from Lou Mongello. You can find more of his Disney audiobooks on Amazon.

Shop Disney app is the best way to find Disney Parks merchandise and see if it’s in stock.

These next two aren’t Walt Disney World apps, but they are websites you can save to your home screen for easy access!

  • Kenny the Pirate – Character Locator is perfect when you have specific characters you want to visit while on your Disney vacation.
